DTG Printing is the process of printing garments with a modified ink jet type printer. The water based inks are formulated to print to materials containing cotton fibers.
Traditional t-shirt screen printing often requires high set-up costs and restrictive minimum order requirements. In fact, every color that is laid down on the t-shirt requires a special screen. The more colors, the more screens. The more screens, the more cost to set up the order. That is why so many t-shirts are done in only one or two-color prints.
Although there are limitations, this is the most affordable way to print lower quantities of shirts. Other benefits of direct to garment printing are vibrant color, smooth print, fine detail, photo prints, sample prints, fast turnaround, environmentally friendly inks and no Iron-Ons that peel & crack.
